AJ Francis Says He’s Peaking In His Wrestling Career, Says He Wants To Be The TNA World Champion
AJ Francis is eyeing the TNA World Championship.
Francis signed with TNA Wrestling back in 2024, and while he’s previously challenged for the TNA World Title, he’s never won the belt so far. But the self-proclaimed LeBron James of wrestling believes he’s peaking in his wrestling career and hasn’t forgotten about his title goals in TNA.
During a recent interview with SA Live, Francis said the following about wrestling when asked about his transition from playing in the NFL to getting into the ring.
“I wanted to be a wrestler my whole life. As a little kid, I wanted to be a wrestler, and I knew that whenever my football career ended that I would become a wrestler. I didn’t know if that would be after high school or college or eventually after the NFL. Thankfully, I was blessed enough to play six years in the NFL. But even towards the end of that, like, I knew that I wanted to transition into wrestling. It was a lot of fun playing football for that long, but wrestling, it is not easy on the body, but it’s easier than football.”
Later, Francis was asked what is driving him at the moment.
“Right now? I want to be a TNA World Champion. I think I’m at the point right now where I’m peaking in my career. I’m at a point right now where nobody’s putting on better shows than me. Nobody’s been better promoted than me. Nobody looks better than me. I’m young, handsome. I come out every day and prove I’m one of the best big men in the business.”
