Paige and Alberto Del Rio continue to be in the public eye following their respective controversies.
TMZ Sports caught up with former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio and Paige on the streets of New York recently. Del Rio was immediately asked about his alleged stabbing incident.
“It was an incident with a guy who disrespected my girl and I just got involved in a street fight. I got a little bit hurt, but thank God I’m fine right now. It was in San Antonio, Texas, where I live. It was outside a restaurant,” said Del Rio.
When asked if he called the police, Del Rio didn't give a straight answer, despite the fact that his original statement noted that he went to the police department.
"I just don't want to talk about it anymore. I put it out there for the Mexican promoter because he was the only one affected. When you put something out on the internet, you're going to have a bunch of haters telling a different story," he said.
The San Antonio Police Department had once stabbing incident on record that weekend, in which Del Rio wasn't involved.
Del Rio talked about his future in wrestling as well, saying "I'll be doing some stuff with TNA if they get the get the money to pay me," he said before saying he doesn't think he'll be back in a WWE ring.
Paige also spoke about the news that she's been suspended for 60-days by the WWE for violating the Wellness Policy for a second time. "I've already said my piece on Twitter. I don't need any more trouble," said Paige with a laugh. When asked if would return to WWE, she mentioned "she had to," and that she'd be out 6-7 months. "I love wrestling, I'm going to be staying in it as long I possibly can."
"She has to be there, she has a contract for like 39 years," Del Rio joked.
