The main event of the show was supposed to feature a Impact Wrestling versus Lucha Underground tag team match where the current Impact World Champion Austin Aries was set to team up with his rival Alberto El Patron to take on Fenix & Pentagon Jr.

Big Cass Comments On His Return To Pro Wrestling

Prior to the match it was announced that the contest was being converted to a Triple-Threat involving Aries, Fenix, and Pentagon Jr. Pentagon Jr. walked away with the victory for Lucha Underground. There was a bit of backlash from wrestling fans via social media as Alberto El Patron was believed to have no showed the event. El Patron was present at the press conference that took place two hours before the show began.
