Alexa Bliss Cashes In Her Money In The Bank Contract; Becomes A Three-Time RAW Women's Champion

What a hell of a night for Alexa Bliss, a hell of a performance by Ronda Rousey, and a sad moment for Nia Jax.

“Rowdy” Ronda Rousey burst onto the WWE scene at the conclusion of the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. Three months later she had her first professional wrestling match in WWE as she teamed up with the current RAW GM Kurt Angle to take on the husband and wife duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Ronda picked up the victory in the tag team bout via submission in a match that was highly regarded by those who viewed it.

Last month during a Red Carpet event in New York City, the-then RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax approached Rousey and called the soon-to-be UFC Hall Of Famer out for a shot at the championship. Ronda humbly stated that there were other competitors in the RAW women’s division who deserved that match far more than her seeing as how she only had one match in the WWE up until that point. Regardless of the explanation Nia Jax stated that the challenge was not for anyone else but Ronda Rousey and after being encouraged by Charlotte Flair who was out of the camera’s view for this encounter, Ronda accepted and the match was soon made official.

In the weeks leading up to the match the tension between Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax rose as their competitiveness was turned up a notch which eventually led to both women telling the other that they were going to lower the hype that the other  had. Tonight all the trash talk came to a halt as the two women met in the squared circle with the RAW Women’s Championship on the line.

Nia Jax dominated the beginning portions of the match in impressive fashion but "Rowdy" Ronda soon made her comeback as she showed that she would not go down without a fight. Ronda Rousey countered Nia Jax and had her set up for an arm-bar that would have secured Ronda the RAW Women's Championship in her first singles match in WWE. But out of no where Alexa Bliss who won the Women's Money In The Bank Ladder match earlier on in the night knocked Ronda over the back with the briefcase which gave Ronda the victory via DQ.

Bliss continued her beat-down of Ronda Rousey and eventually ridded of Ronda by tossing her over the announce table. Bliss then went into the ring and took advantage of a wounded Nia Jax and connected a DDT and followed it up with a "Twisted Bliss" to become the new RAW Women's Champion. "Little Miss Bliss" is back on top of the mountain after only two months of being off of her throne as she is now a 5-time WWE Women's Champion.
