Alexa Bliss Planning On Returning To The Ring Soon, Still Going Through Concussion Protocol

The latest on Alexa Bliss.

Former 5-time WWE Women's Champion Alexa Bliss' last match was in October of 2018 in a tag match in-which she teamed with Mickie James against Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey. Bliss has been out of action dealing with a concussion and this past November it was reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that Bliss suffered multiple concussions within a short period of time which is why WWE is being careful about bringing her back because it may be too soon.

"Little Miss Bliss" was present at ACE Comic Con in Arizona over the weekend with former SmackDown Live Women's Champion Becky Lynch and they both talked on stage with Lilian Garcia. During the conversation between Alexa and Lilian, Bliss was asked where is she in terms of recovery and how she is feeling. Alexa stated that she suffered a concussion and came back too soon and re-aggravated it and added that she plans on returning to the ring soon.

“Well, I plan on coming back pretty soon. WWE is very careful when it comes to us with concussions and any injury and we have the best of the best taking care of us and you have to go through concussion protocol, and everyone is just being precautious, which they should, it’s the brain. You only get one -- can’t trade it out for another." She continued, "So I’ve been doing really well. I’ve been training at the Performance Center. I’ve been training in the ring there, so there’s definitely hope for me getting back into the ring relatively soon. It just depends on… it’s a brain. You can’t really tell it to heal, and my MRI’s and everything look good and neurologists say I look good and as long as I don’t have symptoms  because that’s the thing; if you feel good, and you know you’re good and you go in the ring and you have a symptom, you have to start all the way from square one." Bliss was asked what kind of symptoms, "Like if you get a headache, memory loss or something like that but I’ve been doing good, I feel good, and hopefully, sooner than later I’ll be doing Moment Of Bliss and in the ring.”

Alexa Bliss was present on this past Monday's episode of RAW for the 'Moment Of Bliss' segment which setup a singles match between Nia Jax and Sasha Banks and when Sasha defeated Nia, the RAW Women's Championship match between Banks and Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble PPV was made official.
