Alexa Bliss has had her WWE contract extended.

On May 30, Alexa Bliss announced that she was pregnant and expecting with Ryan Cabrera. Bliss is due in December.

"I was preparing for my return in the ring and I was just having really bad cramping. I thought that was weird," Bliss recalled in an interview with The Messenger. "So then I just decided to take a test and then I think I said, 'Oh s—t.'"

Bliss has been off WWE television since WWE Royal Rumble when she lost to Bianca Belair. She took time off to undergo a procedure to remove skin cancer and appear on "The Masked Singer."

"WWE gave me time off for [Masked Singer] to kind of fully dive into that experience with rehearsals, vocal lessons, and all that stuff. Storyline-wise, I was not on TV anyway, so it really kind of worked out perfectly," Bliss said. "[WWE] extended my contract, and so it's just basically come back when I'm ready. Probably a month after the baby, I'll start probably getting back into the gym, and getting ready for to see what my in-ring return looks like."

It is unknown exactly when Bliss' contract will expire. She said in November 2020 that her contract was up in "three and a half years." Bliss was doing media ahead of WrestleMania 39 and hinted that she would be back soon.

Fightful would like to wish Bliss all the best in her pregnancy.
