Andrade El Idolo Says Sammy Guevara Complained He Hit Too Hard, Sammy Guevara Responds

Andrade El Idolo speaks on his AEW Run & Rumors.

Andrade Signed to All Elite Wrestling on the June 4, 2021 edition of Dynamite with much anticipation, being first paired with Vickie Guerrero in AEW, as well as challenging then AAA Mega Champion Kenny Omega in a losing effort to a match on AAA's magnum show, TripleMania 29. Despite the bright start, Andrade spoke about his recent run with the Company, as well as some of the backstage conundrums that have entailed.

In a recent sit-down interview with Mas Lucha in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico, Andrade spoke bout how he learned about the reported backstage confrontation between then AEW Trios Champions The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) and then AEW World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk 7 his coach Ace Steel, after a tense Scrum session with Punk where he talked about his difficulties, to put it mildly, with The Elite, "Hangman" Adam Page & Colt Cabana. Andrade also mentioned difficulties he had with then TNT Champion and current AAA Mixed Tag Champion Sammy Guevara. Andrade said the following:

"I learned about the gossip initially via social media with many headlines saying "The guy fought this guy" and all that. Everyone usually stays in the same hotel on Wednesday for Dynamite until the Thursday after. I trained in the gym and then a guy reached out to me and asked if I had heard about the altercation and I was like "What? When? What happened?!". I learned that there was an issue between Kenny (Omega) & CM Punk. The two of them have always greeted me well, and I got nothing bad to say about them, and the same thing goes for The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson). They are all good with me, but I did have one issue with a wrestler. I am going to say his name, it was Sammy Guevara. I had an issue with him because he once came to the locker room and complained that we hit him too hard. It's wrestling, solve it in the ring. If I hit hard, hit me hard too. I learned that he came in and that he accused me like a little girl. After I learned about it, I spoke to him and asked if he had an issue with me, but he said he did not and that's all there was to it. It's funny because not even in WWE. For example, Sheamus likes to hit, and all my respect for him because he loves to hit hard and loves the strikes. He is wild. Even The Miz likes to throw strikes. Not even John Cena complained about me, so if he did not complain, imagine this kid who is just starting, but there's that."

Shortly after the interview, Guevara tweeted: "You are a jobber. A favor hire. Be grateful bitch" though it was not clarified if this was in response to Andrade's comments.

In a recent response, Andrade emphasized that he addressed his issues with Guevara but he did not hear a response, saying he will not throw hands because he is a professional. He stated the following on Twitter:

In a further response, Sammy Guevara calls Andrade a liar and said he should just go back to WWE like "we all know you want to do." Andrade then responded that he would see Sammy on Wednesday and say it to his face again.

Andrade El Idolo is set to face Preston "10" Vance in a Mask vs. Career Match on the live edition of AEW Rampage on TNT on October 7 while Guevara will team with ROH World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho against Bryan Danielson & ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia on the October 5 AEW Dynamite. Fightful will have live results & a post-show for these shows on Fightful's YouTube Channel and Twitch
