It took Angel Garza more than one try but he is finally the NXT Cruiserweight champion.
Kicking off the December 11 episode of NXT, Garza beat Lio Rush to win the title, his first in WWE in a competitive, back-and-forth contest.

But that wasn't the only happy moment for Garza as he proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of the ring immediately after the match, who said yes.

This wasn't the first time the two first faced off on NXT for the title. Rush defeated Garza on the November 13 episode of NXT, but the rivalry between the two continued for weeks even as Garza started building a win streak and Rush defended his title against other opponents. Rush held the title since October 9 when he defeated Drew Gulak on NXT.
Triple H has already taken note of Garza's win.
