Angelo Mosca, Sr. has passed away at the age of 84.
Mosca's career began at the University of Notre Dame before eventually joining the Canadian Football League. The CFL Hall of Famer was a five-time Grey Cup champion (four with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1963, 1965, 1967, & 1972 and one with the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1960).
After calling it a career on the gridiron, Mosca got involved in the world of professional wrestling, where he became known as Angelo "King Kong" Mosca. He competed all across North America before joining the WWE in 1981, feuding with the likes of Bob Backlund and Pat Patterson.
He departed from the promotion in 1985 but continued to promote shows in Ontario, Canada. His in-ring career came to an end in 1986.
