Arn Anderson Teases Taking On More Clients In His On-Screen Coaching Role In AEW

Arn Anderson hints he may be taking on a new client(s) in All Elite Wrestling.

From the day that he started in AEW, Arn Anderson has been the head coach of Cody Rhodes. While there is an extended Nightmare Family, Arn Anderson seems to be exclusively ringside for only Cody Rhodes.

Arn Anderson is of course one of the most prolific tag team wrestlers in the history of professional wrestling. Currently, Tully Blanchard is managing FTR and while Arn Anderson knows he doesn't have the opportunity to work with them anymore, he is open to the idea of managing a tag team.

On his most recent podcast, Arn Anderson said that if people stay tuned, they may see his role increase in the promotion and teased his managing a tag team.

“To be perfectly honest with you, there is something that's going to be happening --I hope pretty soon-- on AEW and we'll keep that close to the vest until it does happen. But, it will change my life one-hundred-percent and it will change that individual’s life one-hundred-percent. As far as building a new tag team for the future, that may be the first building block and we'll just sit on that for now, but there are some plans in the works.

“What I will say is, coaching Cody has been a great experience for me. It's not always a lot of fun, as he will tell you, having an old bastard like me chewing his ass out about something he thought wasn't a big deal probably is new to his world. It's a part of his world because when he asked me to come in, that's what I told him. I'm not a ‘Yes Man.’ I'm not an ‘everything is rosy' guy. If you want the truth, I'll tell you the truth and I'll make you better."

He concluded, "So, that's going just well. It doesn't need to be fixed right now. It's one of those things that just is evolving. So, we'll see about that team thing. If you give me a little leeway, down the road, I think it will be worth your wait.”

Arn Anderson did introduce a tag team partner for Cody Rhodes on last week's episode of AEW Dynamite as Red Velvet stepped up to be Cody Rhodes' partner in an eventual match against Jade Cargill and Shaquille O'Neal. Learn more at this link.
