A former feud from NXT's past is now spilling onto the main roster.
It was announced on Raw tonight that Asuka will battle Nia Jax next week in San Antonio. It stems from a story played out over the night where Alexa Bliss tried to get Nia Jax to do her dirty work by telling Nia that Asuka had said something horrible about her. When she told Nia about what Asuka had said, Nia sold it like she didn't believe her.
Regardless, as Asuka was making her entrance for a match, Nia Jax came out and jumped her from behind, leaving her laying. After commercial, the match was made for next week.
This won't be the first time the two have met. They feuded with one another during their respective runs in NXT, culminating in a match at NXT TakeOver: The End in December 2016, where Asuka won.
