Austin Creed Admits WWE Has Changed A Little Under TKO, But The Talent Is Still Working Hard

In September 2023, WWE and UFC merged to form TKO. In the past three years, there have been noticeable changes in the company, both positive and negative.

This year, reports have emerged of talents being asked to take pay cuts in the middle of their contracts and long-time staples have departed the company for one reason or another.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show, Austin Creed was asked if the company has changed  under TKO.

“A little bit. I don’t know if that’s specifically TKO being part of it or if that’s just the natural evolution of the company. I don’t think it’s anything with the people….the boys in the back, everybody loves wrestling. Everybody wants to put on the best show and everybody is working so hard. I definitely don’t think it is anything to do with talent or talents desire to go out there and put on the best matches and make the best show they can. Things have just changed some,” he replied.

Creed and Kofi were asked to take a 50%+ pay cut, which led to their exit from the company.

Elsewhere during the interview, Creed and Kofi detailed their WWE departure. You can find their full comments here.
