Averno vs. MJF For World Light Heavyweight Title on 8/1 CMLL Viernes Espectacular

The match between Averno and MJF for the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Title is now official for the 8/1 CMLL Viernes Espectacular.

Julio Cesar Rivera hosted the July 23, 2025, edition of CMLL Informa, where a big-time match was announced for August 1st.

It was announced that Averno will defend the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Title against MJF on the 8/1 edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular.

This will be MJF’s second match in CMLL, and first challenging for a CMLL title. This will be Averno’s fourth title defense in his 482-day reign. Here is the updated card for the show.
