Bayley and Riott will be kicking off the Backlash pay-per-view.
For the first time ever, Bayley and Ruby Riott will be facing each other in singles match at WWE Backlash during the kickoff show. The announcement came from the WWE Twitter.
On the Apri 23rd edition of Monday Night Raw, the two wrestlers were involved in a ten-women tag team match and they both participated in the Women's Royal Rumble match and WrestleMania 34 Battle Royal. Riott debuted on Smackdown and the two wrestlers had not been on the same brand until the Superstar Shakeup.
A WWE Championship match between Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles will headline the card and there are also two women's championship matches on that night as two former champions in Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss try to regain their titles from Carmella and Nia Jax respectively.
WWE Backlash will be Sunday and starts at 5pm. Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for the pay-per-view.
