Bayley: We Believed WWE Could Count On Sasha Banks And I To Run The Whole Company

Bayley and Sasha Banks are running the women's division, holding all the titles on the main roster. Bayley has been the SmackDown Women's Champion since October 2019 and she and Banks have held the Women's Tag Team Titles since May. On Monday's WWE Raw, Sasha Banks won the Raw Women's Title to complete their quest for all the gold.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Bayley discussed her partnership with Banks and how they've taken over the women's division.

“It took a long time for us to get here,” said Bayley. “There have been a lot of ups and downs, a lot of being held back, a lot of doing a lot for nothing. One of the things we heard a lot was, ‘We can always count on you.’ We believed they could count on us to run the whole company. It took a lot of proving, but that’s what we’re doing now. We are very vocal about what we believe is right and what we want to do to help the company and help the division. It’s finally being able to shine through, and it’s very rewarding.”

Bayley and Banks have been spotlighted on both Raw and SmackDown, and the duo have made appearances on NXT television as well.

“Everybody keeps saying, ‘It looks like you’re having so much fun,’ and it’s so awesome that people can tell. This is the most fun I’ve had on TV, and that’s because I love being around Sasha. We get along so freakin’ well, it’s been awesome," she said.

Bayley successfully retained her SmackDown Women's Championship against Nikki Cross on Friday's SmackDown to keep all the gold on the Golden Role Models.
