The last time Becky Lynch and Asuka shared the ring together, Lynch announced her pregnancy and relinquished her Raw Women's Title to Asuka.
Though she came back as a SmackDown superstar, winning the SmackDown Women's Championship at WWE SummerSlam, Lynch was drafted to WWE Raw and has appeared on the brand as part of the "no brand split rules" following the draft, but before Crown Jewel.
Speaking to Ryan Satin on Out of Character, Becky discussed being drafted to Raw.
"I love SmackDown, SmackDown has been my home and the show that I watched when I was a fan back at home because we didn't have cable and SmackDown was on Saturday mornings. I was always such a big fan. I was the first woman drafted to SmackDown in 2016, so I've always felt at home there, and my come up happened on SmackDown. Everything that I've done and I'm so proud of happened on SmackDown. I suppose this is a new challenge because Raw, lately, hasn't been getting as much love. It's a chance to go over there and make Raw into an awesome show," she said.
Becky is currently engaged in a rivalry with Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, but there is unfinished business with Asuka.
"She never beat me for the title," she said. "Did she get drafted to Raw? Ah, she's a free agent. Well, if she comes back, last-minute notice, I'll watch out for any handshakes and punches."
Asuka was not part of the 2021 WWE Draft due to injury. She has not wrestled since WWE Money in the Bank and it is unknown when she will return to the ring.
As for Becky, she battled Sasha Banks on WWE SmackDown. If you missed anything from WWE SmackDown, check out Fightful's full report on the show by clicking here.
