Becky Lynch Explains Why Battle Royal Was Named After Fabulous Moolah

Becky Lynch says Moolah will be honored for her fame.

Yesterday, WWE announced the Fabulous Moolah Memorial Battle Royal which will feature wrestlers from all three brands even though some fans question the decision to name the event after her. Becky Lynch told Sportskeeda that Moolah was the obvious choice because of her notoriety in wrestling.

"She's one of the most well-known women in WWE history and I think that when people think of the famous women of the past, they think of the Fabulous Moolah. That's why the Battle Royal is being named after her," said Lynch.

In her own right, Lynch has been part of the "women's revolution" in WWE including her Inter-Gender match against James Ellsworth of which Lynch loved being part.

"Oh, it was brilliant. I wish we had done it when everyone wanted to see it after Money in the Bank. I felt like it lost a little bit of momentum. But it was great. It was the first inter-gender match, singles, in ten years, so that was phenomenal to be a part of," said Lynch.
