Becky Lynch Says The Door Is Always Open For Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks) To Return To WWE
The Four Horsewomen of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Lynch, Bayley, and Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone in AEW) changed the game in WWE as they were the first group of women to break out in NXT and usher in a new era on the main roster.
Charlotte Flair recently told Complex Sports that her Mount Rushmore of women’s wrestlers would be the Four Horsewomen.
Asked about Charlotte’s selections, Becky Lynch told Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat, “Honestly, I can’t disagree. That’s a great answer. Really did change the game. We changed the game. This is the first year, in ten years, where you haven’t had one of the Four Horsewomen in one of the world title matches. You’ve got me in the Intercontinental Title match, and that’s more important, more interesting, bigger, better represented than the world titles have been. Who do you have to thank for that? Me, one of the Four Horsewomen. On the Mount Rushmore. We’re a great foursome. never really aligned altogether, but we did great work. We’re still doing great work. We’re all doing great work. People love our work.”
Asked if there is more that needs to be done with the Horsewomen, Becky replied, “Well, we’re not all here. Three of us are. The door is always open for Sasha. I think that is one of those things that you can always go back to at any time and point, and it’ll always be awesome and fantastic. We’ll always have interesting stories with the depth of history that we can touch and scratch. It’ll never lose its luster.”
Mercedes left WWE in 2022 and signed with AEW in 2024.
Becky will challenge for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against AJ Lee at WrestleMania 42.
