Big Cass Cuts First Post-WWE Promo; Declares He'll Be Back In Big Leagues

The long awaited Independent debut of Big Cass is finally here.

Cass, going by the name Big C, showed up Championship Wrestling League in Michigan and had the opportunity to tell the story of his release to the world. But that's not what he did.

"Everybody in the world wants to know what happened. Why was he released from where he was before? I read the internet and dirtsheets. They're all typing up and speculating what they think happened. There's a ton of stories out there. And I've read them all. Some of them are true. But most of them are false," he said. "There are only three people in the world that know what happened and what was talked about that day. I can guarantee you that the other two are not going to tell you what actually happened."

Cass then turned on the crowd, revealing that he'll tell his story "on a Network Special in the big leagues one day."

Cass was released from WWE on June 19. Fightful's own Sean Ross Sapp published an exclusive about Cass' firing, noting that Vince McMahon called for a private meeting with Cass early Tuesday morning and broke the news to him then. Cass told Booker T shortly after his firing that if he were Vince McMahon, he would have fired himself as well.
