Big E wants to wrestle Goldberg, but more than that, he wants to slap meat!
In a special Q&A episode of The New Day podcast, the group discussed their personal dream matches. While Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods chose such in-ring artists as Shawn Michaels and 2 Cold Scorpio, E selected the WCW Power Plant-created monster that is Goldberg.
Big E acknowledged that he grew up idolizing Goldberg and enjoys seeing two larger men inside of the ring go into the ring and establish dominance.
"You would see him. You already know the answer. If I were to ever have a dream match, it would be against the one the only Goldberg. That's right, Goldberg," E started. "I don't wanna hear y'all talking about all this workrate, and how good guys are in the ring, and moonsaults. I don't care about any of that. You want a great match? Bump that. I wanna see two big men, with big chests, and big muscles bumping meat. That's why I'm here. That's why I watched wrestling as a kid. You want your five-star matches? You want your 30-minute classics? Not me! Big meaty men slapping meat! That's what I want!"
He would later say that a real dream match for him would be New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Shingo Takagi and that he is a big fan of Takagi's work, saying the LIJ member is "nasty."
