Big Show Loved Denzel Washington In 'Ray'

Being a WWE superstar comes with perks and famous friends. Big Show, who has been a star in wrestling since 1995, has worked with plenty of athletes and actors on-screen during his time in WWE and WCW, but those pale in comparison to his off-screen adventures.

In 2016, Big Show posted a photo of himself hanging out with Lenny Kravitz, Laurence Fishburne, Denzel Washington, and more, showing his wide circle of famous friends.

Appearing on New Day: Feel The Power, Big Show was asked about the story behind the picture.

"I'm really really good friends with Lenny Kravitz. Edge got mad at me because I never told him. He's family," Show said about Kravitz before discussing the house party thrown by Fishburne.

"We met Fishburne and he's dying laughing because his wife at the time, I had met her at a USA-Bonnie Hammer party. I guess she came home and told Fish all about this tall glass of milk. I didn't know anything about this. When I went to Fishburne's house, he started laughing, fell down in the driveway, laughing. I didn't know why he was laughing. He says, 'You don't understand, my wife loves you and she's not here!' He's FaceTiming his wife and she was legit hot [mad]," recalled Show.

After greeting Fishburne's wife via FaceTime, new faces arrived at the party.

"Denzel is pulling into Fishburne's house with George Clinton and Lenny goes, 'Tell Denzel you loved him in Ray.' 'Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors of all-time, I'm not telling him I loved him in Ray, I know that was Jamie Foxx.' He goes, 'Quit being a [bleep] and go do it.' 'Okay.' I go say hi to George Clinton and I say, 'Hey man, I loved you in Ray' (to Denzel). He goes, 'Wrong brother, I got two, he's got one [Oscars].' I was like, "Lenny told me to say that!' I know the difference between Jamie Foxx and Denzel Washington, I'm not dumb," he said.

Big Show said he had more great stories from that night, but didn't offer any more details other than Lee Daniels was seemingly afraid of his size.

Fans can watch Big Show measure himself against the likes of Denzel Washington and Jamie Foxx in Netflix's The Big Show Show.
