BJ Ray: The More That People Are Around Me, They’re Like, ‘Okay Wait, This Kid Actually Is Cool’

BJ Ray wants people to get to know him.

Throughout 2025, ‘Sexy’ BJ Ray has established himself as a very controversial figure in the world of professional wrestling. These controversies will surely keep buzz on Ray’s name as he looks to enter the world of independent wrestling following his release from WWE.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Ray said that people that know him personally are big fans of his actual personality.

“What I tell people to know of me is to hate me, right? In the big wrestling world, knowing of me, seeing this stuff on social media. But to know me personally, to know me is to love me and so I feel like that’s pretty much how it is, all the time. Even in here sitting with you this interview sometimes I’ll crank it up or calm it down or whatever and a little more of the realness fly but you could ask anybody at the Performance Center or anybody that’s been around me and got to work with me. You could ask Cass with Bodyslam and all these guys that have been here around me. These dudes, they know me and they know what I’m about and they know what I do. So I think that the more that people are around me and they figure me out, they’re like, ‘Okay, wait, this kid actually is cool.’”
