Blake Christian Says He Isn't Bitter About WWE Run, Notes That He's Not Opposed To Going Back

Blake Christian isn't bitter about his first run in WWE.

Throughout 2019 and 2020, both WWE and All Elite Wrestling were seemingly in a war to see who can sign the most talent. Tons of independent names were signed to major companies during this period, one of which was GCW star Blake Christian, who was renamed Trey Baxter upon his arrival in WWE.

Christian's stint with the company unfortunately didn't last long, as he was released from the company in November 2021 after only signing in February 2021. During that time period, Christian only competed in ten matches for the company.

In a new interview with the Two Man Power Trip podcast, Christian revealed that he isn't bitter about his short stint with the company and how much he was used throughout his time there.

"I think everybody wishes they could be used more, you know? I’m not, I know a lot of people get bitter about certain things like this, I’m not bitter at all. I’m very grateful for the time that I had and the stuff I got to do. Anytime that I was told that I’m getting this amount of time or I’m having to do this, I always tried to push the boundaries a little bit. I had pushed so much that they eventually gotta give me something. No matter what amount of time that I had on screen, I always made the most out of it no matter what. Do I wish I could have been used more? Of course, but I’m not bitter about the amount of time that I got.”

When asked about a potential return to the company, Christian said the most famous three word combination in the pro wrestling business.

"You know, I feel like there’s a lot of things that I need to do out here first but I’m not opposed to ever going back to WWE. Never say never.”

Since leaving WWE in November 2021, Christian has returned to form on the independent circuit and has competed for companies like GCW, Black Label Pro, and more. In August, Fightful Select reported that Christian is under a deal with ROH/AEW following his appearances at two Ring Of Honor pay-per-views in 2022.

Christian also regularly competes for NJPW Strong, where he is set to compete on Saturday's edition of the brand's weekly show. To learn more, click here.
