Bobby Fish Says 'Bridge Needed To Be Burned' With Undisputed Elite, Doesn't Feel Bad For Crying Kid

On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, the Undisputed Elite imploded when Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish took out The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson).

The group formed when Fish & O'Reilly joined AEW at the end of 2021, though reDRagon and the Bucks weren't always on the same page as they battled over the AEW Tag Team Titles.

Speaking to Rewind, Recap, Relive, Fish discussed the motivation behind the turn.

"That bridge needed to be burned. There is way too much history there because the individuals involved for bygones to remain bygones. It had to be done," he said.

The turn came as Cole revealed that The Young Bucks wouldn't be part of the trios tournament to crown the first-ever AEW Trios Champions because they would be injured. Hangman Page made the save for the Young Bucks.

When asked about his status for the Trios Titles tournament, Fish said, "I'm not sure what's going on with the trios at the moment. Naturally, we thought we would be in it, but at the moment, I don't have confirmation on in or out. We stirred it up and we're going to see where the dust settles now. We've got a couple of things in our back pocket that will be implemented when the time is right or maybe they'll stay in the back pocket a bit longer."

Fish hasn't wrestled since the July 18 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation. He, O'Reilly, and Cole have been battling injuries in recent months.

The turn led to a viral moment when a kid was caught on camera crying.

Fish was asked if he saw the viral moment and responded by saying, "I had quite a few people after that send pictures of that to me and I've definitely seen it online since. I'd like to say I feel bad, but I'd be lying."

Teams for the Trios Titles tournament have yet to be announced by AEW.
