Bobby Lashley is a year older, but his desire to have a match against Brock Lesnar remains the same.
Lashley went to Twitter to thank everyone who wished him Happy Birthday as the former Intercontinental Champion turned 44 years old on July 16. In addition, Lashley said his birthday wish was to have a match against former Lesnar, the former Universal and WWE Champion.

Lashley has been very vocal about his desire to face Lesnar in a WWE ring as the two former MMA stars have never faced off against each other in a wrestling ring. In recent months, Lashley engaged in a feud with Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at Backlash and even compared facing McIntyre to a potential match against Lesnar, saying "I do believe eventually [a match against Lesnar] will happen before Brock and I are senior citizens. The one thing that people – and I don’t want to switch gears here – but Drew McIntyre is a Brock Lesnar. He definitely is. I think that a matchup with Drew is just as exciting as Brock, to me, if done right."
Lesnar has not been seen on WWE television ever since he lost the WWE Championship to McIntyre at WrestleMania 36.
