Booker T Believes There Should Be A Mid-Card Championship For The Women In WWE

Booker T is advocating for another women's champion.

Women in WWE get the opportunity to challenge for the world championship of the respective brand (WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown, WWE NXT) and the tag team championship on the main roster and NXT, but there is no mid-card title akin to the WWE United States Title, WWE Intercontinental Title, or NXT North American Title for the women.

Booker T would like to see that change.

"We should have a mid-card belt for the ladies, almost like a television championship where it’s not competing with the Women’s NXT Championship, just to give someone else a little bit of a rub, a little bit of shine, as well as a little bit of something to work for because it always gonna be a while before you work your way to that big goal," he told Fox News.

Booker is the color commentator for NXT and has trained the likes of Roxanne Perez at his Reality of Wrestling School.

It is unknown if WWE will ever introduce a mid-card title for the women. WWE did introduce a second World Championship on Monday with the World Heavyweight Championship. The new champion will be crowned at WWE Night of Champions.
