Booker T Respects And Understands Where Jazmyn Nyx Was Coming From In Turning Down WWE Offer

Jazmyn Nyx departed WWE on September 24, revealing that she turned down a WWE offer over financial compensation.

Nyx was part of NXT and aligned with Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne in Fatal Influence before being written off TV.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T weighed in on Nyx’s decision.

“The money wasn’t right. My thing is, you gotta respect and understand where she’s coming from. She was probably making money over there doing the soccer thing, making money with the modeling deal. Not OnlyFans, real modeling. You have to look at yourself. How much time has Jazmyn been on television? If I’m not mistaken, I think she said she had four knee surgeries and a broken nose. That’s a lot of time not in the gym trying to figure this thing out. I’m not saying she wasn’t a quick learner or anything like that, but injury is your worst enemy in this business. Time off is your worst enemy. For someone like Jazmyn, who hadn’t gotten a real run and had four knee surgeries in NXT’s program, it’s going to set just about anybody back, and it’s going to screw your money up. In football, you get injured, see if they’re going to sign you next year to that same contract. You better wish you’re Tom Brady. I understand Jazmyn Nyx. I don’t know how much money she was making, but I know those contracts start at a base rate,” he said.

Informed that the base rate is reportedly $75,000, Booker replied, “$75,000, these days, is not a lot of money to a lot of people.”
