Britt Baker On CM Punk Calling Her A Pillar Of AEW: I'm Glad Someone Said It

Britt Baker says it's about time somebody acknowledges her contributions to AEW.

The four pillars of AEW became a major talking point at the end of 2021. Maxwell Jacob Friedman named himself, Jungle Boy, Darby Allin, and Sammy Guevara as the four original talents that continue to provide the foundation for AEW as many major Superstars beginning to make their way over to AEW.

CM Punk, in an effort to get under the skin of MJF, proclaimed that Maxwell is so busy focusing on himself that he hasn't even realized he was replaced as a pillar by Britt Baker. There would even be a shirt made to solidify CM Punk’s belief.

Speaking about CM Punk calling her a pillar, Britt Baker told the In The Kliq podcast that it's about time somebody put her on the same pedestal as the male pillars, proclaiming that if you don't believe she is a pillar, you likely need an examination.

"I'm glad someone said it, because, I agree. I mean, you can't say AEW and the pillars without bringing up my name, too. I've been here, you know, I'm the face of the women's division, and women's wrestling is just as important as men's wrestling. So to say that I'm not a pillar? I mean, you need an examination. How can you possibly argue that?"

CM Punk being so complimentary of Britt Baker has made Maxwell Jacob Friedman say some outlandish things about CM Punk and his intentions. Adam Cole, Britt Baker’s real-life boyfriend said that if Maxwell Jacob Friedman kept mentioning her name, he would slap him in the mouth. Read more here.
