Brody King Def. Claudio Castagnoli On 5/27 AEW Dynamite To Advance In Owen Hart Cup Tournament

Brody King advances in the Owen.

The 2026 Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament continued on the May 27th AEW Dynamite. A first-round match saw Brody King versus Claudio Castagnoli.

The conclusion of the bout saw King put Castagnoli away to advance.

With his win, King is now set to face Swerve Strickland in the next round. At AEW Double or Nothing, Strickland bested ROH World Champion Bandido to advance in the Owen Hart Cup tournament.

The tournament final is taking place at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 28th, and the winner of the men’s side of the tournament will challenge for the AEW World Championship at All In on August 30th.
