Bron Breakker Praises Johnny Gargano For Always Going Out Of His Way To Help Him

Bron Breakker and Johnny Gargano have been on opposite sides of the ring in recent weeks as they competed in a ladder match to determine which team would have the advantage in WarGames and then competed in the WarGames match.

Though they have been opponents on television, Breakker has learned from Gargano behind the scenes.

“To be in a WarGames with Johnny Gargano, that means the world to me,” Breakker told Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated. “Johnny is a fantastic performer, among the best in the world. He’s so great out there, as tough as nails. He’s gone out of his way to help and give me advice. He’s a fantastic human being and performer, and I can’t say enough good things about Johnny Gargano.”

WarGames could be the last time fans see Gargano in NXT as the bout was treated as his swansong from the brand as his contract expires. He is set to address his future on Tuesday's NXT.

Breakker led Team 2.0 (Tony D'Angelo, Grayson Waller, & Carmelo Hayes) to victory over Team Black & Gold (Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Pete Dunne & LA Knight) inside WarGames on Sunday.

Speaking about his WarGames experience, Breakker said, "It’s a night I’ve dreamed about for a long time. WarGames was an unbelievable opportunity, and I put absolutely everything I had into it. I want to be the best in the world, as I’m sure others do, as well. This is a very competitive sport, but I’m up for the challenge. Tonight was just the beginning. The path that my family has paved for me is something I have always wanted to do. I’m very blessed and privileged to be in a spot where I can look to my family for advice. They always give me great advice and pointers of where I can improve.”

Breakker's father (Rick Steiner) and uncle (Scott Steiner) competed in WarGames in 1991. Scott was also part of WarGames in 2000.
