Brooklyn Brawler Says Putting People Over Never Bothered Him

Brooklyn Brawler never had a problem with enhancing other talents.

Today, Steve Lombardi or better known by wrestling fans as "Brooklyn Brawler" is holding a WrestleMania 35 viewing party at the 'Falls View Hose Brigade' in Niagara Falls. There is limited seating for the viewing party and Brawler will be signing autographs and taking photos at the event. He was interviewed by the Niagra Falls Review to promote the get together and shared some of his experiences competing at WrestleMania and said that it can not be described as just an event.

"It's like magic," he says. "It's not an event, it's an experience when you're there. Just the crowd …when you're in the ring, you can't even relate to your audience because it just goes on forever. I'm telling you, it's insane."

The former 4-time NWA Southwest Television Champion also commented on people referring to him as a "jobber" and he responded by saying he had no problem losing or enhancing other talents because he saw himself as an underdog.

"It's so interesting to me how people can say, 'Oh, you lost, you lost, you lost,'" he says. "I didn't mind putting anybody over. It turns out, when you're the underdog, you end up getting the biggest wins. I beat Triple H. I had The Rock's very first match. I beat Ultimate Warrior one time. It's like the Rocky movies. Rocky was an underdog to Apollo Creed. If he wasn't an underdog, it wouldn't be as good of a story."
