Cameron Grimes Out 4-6 Weeks, Reportedly Underwent Surgery

Cameron Grimes will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

It was revealed during Wednesday's episode of NXT that Grimes will be out four to six weeks, meaning he won’t be wrestling for the rest of the year.

According to PWInsider, Grimes underwent surgery last week. The Wrestling Observer notes the surgery is "believed to be arthroscopic knee surgery."

Grimes is coming off a loss to Tommaso Ciampa on the December 9 episode of NXT. Following the match, Timothy Thatcher attacked Grimes and Grimes was listed on the NXT Injury Report two days later. At the time, NXT did not give a timetable for Grimes’ return.

Grimes competed back at NXT TakeOver: WarGames on December 6 when he lost a strap match to Dexter Lumis. Prior to the strap match, Grimes was in a Blindfold Match and a Haunted House of Terror Match against Lumis, neither of which Lumis was able to come out on top.
