Cash Wheeler States That FTR Wants To Do NJPW World Tag League

Wheeler stated that he and Harwood want to attempt to do World Tag League.

Near the end of the year, New Japan Pro-Wrestling presents the World Tag League tournament to determine who will challenge for the IWGP Tag Team Championship at Wrestle Kingdom in the new year.

At Wrestle Kingdom 17 in 2023, the 2022 World Tag League winners Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) defeated FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) to become the new IWGP Tag Team Champions.

While speaking to Joe Hulbert on Late Night Grin, Cash Wheeler stated that FTR is interested in attempting to do a World Tag League tournament.

“We wanted to do a World Tag League… There were other things schedule-wise that would never actually work out for it. So, I say this now, after we had the talk about how we feel physically, I would like to attempt one World Tag League before we call it a day. I don’t know if we’re gonna make it all the way through. I might just tap out in the middle of a match. Not even in a submission. Just head home,” he laughed. “Take a bad bump, roll out and just be done. I gave it my best everybody. I’m sorry. But I would love to at least try a World Tag League once, because that’s always been something we’ve wanted to do and we’ve accomplished almost everything else.”

FTR are on a break from in-ring action after their AEW World Tag Title loss at Double or Nothing. Dax Harwood wrote about that, and more can be found here.
