Cesaro is behind SmackDown through and through.
"The Swiss Superman" Cesaro and "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus are looking to get back into the SmackDown Tag Titles picture after the 'Fastlane' pay-per-view but in the mean time, The Bar have wrestled the likes of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa and The Hardy Boyz. Cesaro and Sheamus have also been wrestling the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos at live events.
The state of tag team wrestling was brought up as a topic while Cesaro chatted with 'The Citizens' Voice' and Cesaro minced no words when he expressed that he feels SmackDown has the best tag teams in the world. He listed off the teams on SmackDown and said the WWE tag team division as a whole is exciting but SmackDown's division gets his extra endorsement.
"I feel SmackDown has the absolute best tag teams in the world. We have us, we have The New Day, we have the Usos, we have The Club, we have SAnitY, we have the Hardys, we have Rusev and Nakamura. Obviously, I don?t really want to, but I have to mention tag teams like Miz and Shane McMahon, even these odd pairings but definitely the best tag teams in the world." He said. "In my opinion, tag team wrestling is absolutely fantastic. It?s very exciting and I just wish it would be given a bigger chance and platform, especially at SmackDown."
The former PWG World Champion Cesaro compared the RAW and SmackDown brands. He feels that SmackDown is the more exciting of the two and with the FOX deal coming this Fall, he has very high hopes for the blue-brand.
"For us, it?s the same. We want to be on top of both shows. We were a cornerstone of RAW, we are a cornerstone of SmackDown, we are the best team, that?s what we want to prove." He explained. "That?s always our goal. SmackDown has a lot of potential. SmackDown, I feel, has more excitement than RAW even though RAW is always branded as the flagship show. But I think there?s a lot of excitement on SmackDown. There?s more focus on the wrestling aspect. With the new TV deal kicking in-in November, I have high hopes for SmackDown."
SmackDown's Tag Team division will be represented at 'Fastlane' this Sunday as The Usos defend their titles against the team of Shane McMahon and The Miz.
