Here is your post-SmackDown fight-size update for 7/10/2020:
- In the main event, New Day successfully defended their tag team championship against Cesaro and Nakamura via DQ but would end up going through tables to end the evening.
- On their road to obtaining a monopoly of Championship gold in WWE, Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated BlissCross Applesauce.
- In other SmackDown women's division news, we had a karaoke segment that featured four women singing legendary theme songs. Naomi would win by saying the theme song of Dusty Rhodes.
- This segment led to a match between Lacey Evans and Naomi. Lacey appears to be heel again. In the end, more tribute to Dusty Rhodes was paid as the bout ended in a dusty finish.
- Tonight, Sheamus and Jeff Hardy agreed to face each other in a Bar Fight date TBD.
- Also, Jeff Hardy would defeat The Miz in singles competition despite the best efforts of Sheamus to distract the ?Charismatic Enigma.?
- There was no sign of Matt Riddle or King Baron Corbin this evening but Matt Riddle will be facing AJ Styles next week for the Intercontinental Championship as was announced by Sarah Schreiber in an interview segment with AJ.
- Matt did make waves on social media when he addressed his sexual assault allegations. You can learn more about that at this link.
- Tonight, WWE replayed, in its entirety, the WWE Universal Championship match from money in the bank 2020 between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman.
