Cesaro Possibly Injured On Raw

Cesaro may be in bad shape after a Monday Night Raw match with Sheamus.

The former United States Champion Cesaro suffered a back injury during his best-of-seven series match with Sheamus, when his opponent hit a back body drop into the ringpost. Cesaro was defeated almost immediately after the move.

Cesaro suffered multiple contusions to the lumbar spine during his match against Sheamus Monday on Raw, WWE.com can confirm.

Late in the match, Sheamus backdropped Cesaro into the turnbuckle before locking him in the Cloverleaf.

Cesaro took to Twitter, saying "Well... I guess I'm not working out or anything this week," but it's unknown if the injury is legit or a work. Ceasro missed about five months between November 2015 and April 2015 due to a shoulder injury that he's still forced to tape up.

Cesaro is currently down two matches to none to former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus in their best-of-seven series.
