Cesaro misses the old Seth Rollins.
For the past several months, Cesaro has stepped up his game and moved up to the headlining level on Friday Night SmackDown.
Cesaro picked up his first singles victory at WrestleMania over Seth Rollins and then moved over to WrestleMania Backlash where he fought Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. After losing to Roman Reigns, Cesaro was once again attacked by Seth Rollins and then attacked again on the following episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Now, speaking with Amar Anand of Sportskeeda, Cesaro revealed he wants the chance to beat Seth Rollins again at WWE Hell in a Cell on Sunday, June 20, and hopefully, beat the "Messiah" out of him in the process.
"I'd like to say we (Cesaro and Seth Rollins) had very similar journeys getting to this point. How we got there is different. He kind of stabbed everybody in the back, as we've seen with The Shield, to get to where he wanted. I kind of tried to take the... you know, keep my integrity intact to get where I am at. It will be awesome to beat him again at Hell in a Cell and beat some sense into him. I, for one, know that the Seth Rollins I knew will be awesome to have back on the roster. This new guy with the crazy suits, that can go away (laughs)," said Cesaro.
As of now, Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins is not confirmed for WWE Hell in a Cell 2021. Cesaro and Seth Rollins’ next chapter will be told during the next episode of WWE SmackDown.
Fightful has live coverage of SmackDown every Friday beginning at 8 p.m. eastern.
