Charlie (Dakota Kai) Reflects On Facing Lyra Valkyria In Finals Of WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament

Charlie and Lyra Valkyria clashed for the Women’s I.C. Title.

The second episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix featured the finals of the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament. Charlie a.k.a. Dakota Kai met Lyra Valkyria in the final, and Valkyria emerged victorious to become the first holder of the title.

Charlie looked back on that during her chat with D.S. Shin of Ring The Belle. D.S. mentioned a rumor that Charlie was supposed to win the tournament. She responded by saying that things change and that she was and is happy for Valkyria.

“She’s awesome too,” Charlie said about Lyra Valkyria while reflecting on the WWE Women’s I.C. Title tournament final. “We had such good chemistry and we never wrestled each other before — I don’t think any singles capacity at least. But, she’s amazing… She’s insane. Everything she did was awesome.” The interviewer mentioned that there was a rumor that Charlie was supposed to win the tournament and she replied, “Things change all the time, you know what I mean? Like last minute and I get that too but, I don’t know, I’m so happy for her…”

The current WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion is Becky Lynch, and she’ll be defending the belt against Sol Ruca at the Clash in Italy Premium Live Event on May 31st.
