Charlie Dempsey references Bloodsport.
On the April 9 episode of NXT, Charlie Dempsey was asked by Damon Kemp how things went at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport. Dempsey reflected on the match, mentioning Bloodsport by name, and saying that he got a black eye, but that didn't stop him from picking up the victory.
Dempsey was a surprise entrant into Bloodsport as he wasn't previously announced prior to the event. He faced Matt Makowski at the event.

Nick Khan was in attendance for Bloodsport along with talent such as CM Punk, Nia Jax, and Braun Strowman. Shayna Baszler competed on the event and was cornered by Zoey Stark.
