Charlotte Flair Discusses Oral Surgery And Her Wrestlemania 34 Match

Charlotte Flair says oral surgery will not stop her from fighting Asuka.

Last week, there were reports Charlotte Flair was out with an injury and she did not appear on Smackdown. It turns out Flair received oral surgery for which she had to be taken off of television. Flair told Orlando Sentinel about going through the surgery.

”It was a minor procedure and I didn't take it seriously. I thought, ‘It’s going to be fine! I can work out the next day!’ But the surgeon said that wasn't happening, and the next day my mouth was so swollen that they kept me off TV,” said Flair.

At Wrestlemania 34, Flair will be facing Asuka who she has never faced in a match before but Flair does not think the styles clash will effect the match from being entertaining.

“I’ve watched (Asuka) so much that I don’t worry about our style coming together. It might make the match a little rougher and that can sometimes be a good thing, because it won’t look as choreographed. It’s not supposed to be a graceful dance; it’s supposed to be a fight. There’s a realism to that,” said Flair.

Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast of Wrestlemania 34 which will include the Smackdown Women's Championship match between Flair and Asuka.
