Ric Flair has made it through the worst of his health scare, but he's not out of the woods yet. He remains hospitalized in Atlanta after surgery to remove a blockage in his intestine led to the removal of a portion of his bowel. He is on dialysis due to kidney failure, and he has been fitted with an external pacemaker for his heart, according to Dave Meltzer.
But there is reason for optimism, at least according to Flair's daughter Charlotte.
She posted the following message to her Instagram yesterday before SummerSlam began:
After an incredibly hard week, my dad is getting better. There is still a long road to go and he's not out of the woods just yet but I want to again thank everyone for their support on behalf of myself and my family. My dad has given his life to sports entertainment. To everyone competing tonight, you know he'd be backstage watching if he could. Give it a little extra flair for him tonight. Woooo!
