Here is your post-Friday Night SmackDown fight size update for March 24, 2023.

- In a promo, WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair discussed her looming match against Rhea Ripley at WWE WrestleMania 39. She referenced several noteworthy names including Sasha Banks and The Bella Twins, and she also stated that she's not afraid of Rhea Ripley.

- The contract signing for the WWE Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 39 quickly turned into a chaotic situation, as Butch brawled with Gunther after his contenders, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, argued with each other. Butch then faced Gunther in a hard-fought bout. In the end, Butch was distracted by McIntyre and Sheamus brawling at ringside, and Gunther pinned him.

- After the match, Drew McIntyre floored Gunther with a Claymore and stared down Sheamus.

- Cody Rhodes faced Ludwig Kaiser. A temporary distraction from Paul Heyman, who came to the stage to watch the match, helped Kaiser take control. Rhodes went on to win the match, despite another distraction from Solo Sikoa. After the bell, Heyman hyped up Rhodes match with Sikoa on WWE Raw, and Cody said that Sikoa wasn't ready, just like Reigns wouldn't be ready for him at WWE WrestleMania 39.

- WWE announced that John Cena's match against Austin Theory will kick off WrestleMania 39.

- Rey Mysterio faced LA Knight, and interference from Dominik Mysterio cost him the match.

- Dominik then insulted Rey after the match and went so far as to call his own mother, who was sitting at ringside, a deadbeat. Rey finally snapped and hit Dominik. He then agreed to face his son at WrestleMania 39.

- Kevin Owens hosted the KO Show, and Sami Zayn was his guest. They celebrated their reunion, and Owens called Zayn the MVP of WWE. He also gave Sami a "Wrestle-Zayn-ia" shirt. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) attacked Owens and Zayn to ruin the celebratory mood.

- Natalya and Shotzi defeated Xia Li and Lacey Evans to qualify for the Women's WrestleMania Showcase match.

- Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler revealed that they were added to the Women's WrestleMania Showcase match.

- A confrontation between the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) and Braun Strowman and Ricochet highlighted the Men's WrestleMania Showcase match

- The March 31 episode of WWE SmackDown will feature the Andre the Giant Battle Royal.

- Cody Rhodes will meet Roman Reigns face-to-face on the March 31 episode of WWE SmackDown.

- In a SmackDown Exclusive, Drew McIntyre noted that his Claymore was meant for Sheamus, but it will put anyone down if they get in their way.

- Bronson Reed stated that the Andre the Giant Battle Royal trophy has his name on it.
