Chavo Guerrero Jr. Has High Praise For Pentagon Dark And Fenix; Refers To Them As The New 'Dynamite Brothers'

Chavo is proud to be a part of L.U.

In 2014 Chavo Guerrero Jr. joined the Lucha Underground family and has been working with the promotion since his initial signing. Chavo recently appeared on the season four premiere of L.U. in the 'Aztec Warfare' Lucha Underground Championship 20-man Battle Royal match

Following the premiere of the show Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated spoke with Chavo and during their conversation Chavo stated that there are plans to do a fifth season of Lucha Underground.

“Absolutely,” said Guerrero. “You never know what is going to happen in the TV world, but we’re focused on this season and it’s going to speak for itself. We have to constantly one-up each season, and that’s what we’re doing every year to get the greatest product out there.”

Two current stars of the program that Chavo Guerrero is very fond of is the current Lucha Underground Champion Pentagon Dark and his real-life brother, the first Triple Crown Champion of Lucha Underground, Fenix. Chavo refers to the two as an updated version of the 'Dynamite Brothers' because of Pentagon and Fenix's styles and how they are able to incorporate their wrestling techniques into other styles.

“We create our own world here at Lucha Underground, and we promote and use talent from within,” said Guerrero. “So when I saw Pentagon Dark and Fenix, who is his brother, I started calling them, ‘Los Nuevos Hermanos Dinamita,’ which is the New Dynamite Brothers, because they’re so good. It’s cool to see the world catch on and agree with us in how talented these guys are. Their style of lucha adapts to so many styles.”
