Though she entered WrestleMania 41 weekend as WWE Women's United States Champion, Chelsea Green was not part of the WrestleMania card.
Speaking to Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely, Green was asked about the WWE Women's US Title and WWE Women's Intercontinental Title not being defended at the event.
"At the end of the day, of course, after a crazy year, the pinnacle is WrestleMania. I felt the want and the need for these titles to be on the show. I wanted them to be on the show. At the end of the day, we only have so many hours and so many spots on the card. The women who were on the show did an amazing job of representing all of us. Although I'm upset and I wish I could have been on it, I'm really proud of the girls," she said.
WWE Women's IC Champion Lyra Valkyria was on the card, teaming with Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles.
Fightful Select reported that there were pitches made for Green to be part of the card.
Green lost the WWE Women's US Title to Zelina Vega on WWE SmackDown.
