Chris Hemsworth Provides An Update On Hulk Hogan Biopic

In February 2019 it was announced that Chris Hemsworth would play the role of Hulk Hogan for an upcoming biopic.

Since then, little information has been announced about the movie.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Hemsworth provided an update on the film. "Uhhhh, maybe? Todd Phillips is busy doing, I think, Joker 2 I believe, and I've been off doing other films, and it's all in conversations and in development and things like that. A lot of little different things need to come together for it to happen, but I don't have 24 inch pythons. Yet."

In another update, speaking to Daily Distraction on ComicBook, Hemsworth said, “Oh, that film’s a while away. It’s sort of in the development stage, you know? If it comes to fruition, great, Todd Phillips is brilliant. I haven’t ripped any shirts off yet, but you’ll be the first to hear about it when I do,"

Details surrounding the movie have been scarce to this point, but the movie will reportedly focus on the origin of Hulkamania and won't dive into Hogan's racist comments that came to light in 2015. Eric Bischoff was named as one of the producers and Todd Phillips, Scott Silver, and John Pollono are reportedly set to co-write the film.

The Hollywood Reporter reported in 2019 that "deals for the Hogan project are in the midst of closing with Netflix." Michael Sugar and Bradley Cooper, along with Hemsworth, were also named as producers.
