Jericho begins by bragging about being the real main event at Wrestle Kingdom 12. Jericho lost to Kenny Omega in a bout that went on second to last, while Naito closed the show against Kazuchika Okada.

He continues by saying he came after Naito at New Year Dash because "he's the best NJPW has to offer, even though he lost to Okada in the semi-main event"

The former WWE champion promised to make Naito a star before taking his IWGP Intercontinental title. He ends by toasting Naito.

When the camera cuts back to the ring, Naito is taking a nap. It's the third time Jericho has laid him out, only this time it was with his words and not his fists or a ring bell. The leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon responded by saying Jericho talks too much.

Jericho and Naito have been trading barbs ever since Jericho declared his match with Omega the real main event at Wrestle Kingdom 12. Things were kicked up a notch when Jericho attack Naito the night after Wrestle Kingdom at New Year Dash!!

While Y2J was away making sporadic WWE appearances, Naito captured the IWGP Intercontinental title from Minoru Suzuki. Jericho returned at Wrestling Dontaku, bloodying Naito with a ring bell.

The two will finally settle the score on June 9 at Dominion.
