Chris Jericho Says Nobody Comes Close To Kenny Omega In The Ring, Omega Responds

Chris Jericho, who once dubbed himself “Best in the World,” now calls Kenny Omega the best in the business.

Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega and their match in 2018 at Wrestle Kingdom has been touted as the genesis of All Elite Wrestling and following that match, Jericho and Omega would have a rematch at Double or Nothing 2019, the first show from AEW.

The two natives of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada are tied with one victory apiece in singles competition against one another, but there is mutual respect between them.

Speaking out on Twitter, Chris Jericho declared that Kenny Omega was the best in the business and that he's been in the ring with plenty of greats and nobody even comes close.

Kenny Omega, in response to this, quipped that he would rather believe some of the naysayers, including “the guy who thinks I am WWE Champion.” Jim Ross had incidentally referred to Kenny Omega as WWE Champion instead of AEW Champion early in Kenny Omega's World Championship run.

Currently, Kenny is the top champion of three promotions: AEW, AAA, and IMPACT. His next defense of the IMPACT World Championship will be at Against All Odds against Moose on Saturday, June 12.

Then, on August 14, he will defend the AAA Mega Championship against former WWE United States Champion Andrade at TripleMania XXIX. Learn more here.
