Chuck Liddell established himself as the top draw in the UFC during the 2000s with his highlight reel knockouts and everyman attitude.
Long retired, Liddell now hosts a YouTube series called Out Cold where he and other fighters watch knockout videos.
On an episode with Cory Sandhagen, Liddell commented on a pro wrestling video.
“I was never really a fan, but I was friends with Shane McMahon and he asked me to come to (an event), so I went to one with him. I was a fan of what they could do. How big these guys and how they’re throwing each other. I’m like, ‘Hell no,'” he said.
Sandhagen noted that Liddell should get into pro wrestling.
He replied, “No, man. In fighting, the difference is, it’s my responsibility to keep you from hurting me. In pro wrestling, I gotta give you my body and let you throw me and I’m trusting you not to hurt me. I don’t like that.”
At least he doesn’t believe it’s fake.
