CJ Perry (Lana) Says Vince McMahon Wanted Vladimir Putin To Come To A Show
Playing the Russian character of Lana, CJ Perry wasn’t afraid to get political as she put over her “home country” and Bulgarian Brute Rusev, even if that meant taking shots at President Barack Obama.
In one vignette, Perry talked down about Obama with clips of a fake Obama lifting a small amount of weight, before throwing to clips of a fake Vladimir Putin, who was lifting massive weights and riding a horse.
Speaking to TMZ Inside The Ring, Perry stated that Vince McMahon wanted Putin to come to a show.
“Vince could identify more with Putin because Vince is lifting 650 pounds at 75. ‘You’re a maniac.’ He wanted Vladimir Putin to come to a show. He’s like, ‘I hope he’s going to come,'” said Perry.
Vladimir Putin never attended a WWE show.
