CM Punk Comments On His UFC 225 Loss To Mike Jackson

CM Punk reacts to it all.

Last night in his hometown of Chicago, IL, at UFC 225 former WWE superstar CM Punk made his second appearance in the octagon and standing across from him was Mike Jackson. Both men walked into the fight with an 0-1 pro fight record with both of their respective losses coming by way of losing to Mickey Gall.

CM Punk was not victorious in his anticipated return to the octagon. Punk was both praised and critiqued for his efforts in the fight with some applauding him for lasting the entire fight and others not wanting to pat Punk on the back for what was described as a lackluster performance. Hours after his loss the former two-time WWE Champion took to Twitter and sent out a message noting that sometimes you win and sometimes you lose and he is fine with that. Punk gave props to his opponent Mike Jackson and added on that he feels alive.

"You win some, you lose some! I’m 1-1 this week and I’ll take it! Thanks to my team, my family, my friends, and THE FANS! Wouldn’t be here without any of you. Respect to @TheTruthJackson, thanks for the fight! You only live once, and… I’M ALIVE!”

Following Punk's UFC 225 bout current WWE color commentator Corey Graves sent out a number of indirect tweets about Punk that Graves eventually explained via social media. Fightful's own Sean Ross Sapp was able to speak with Corey Graves to grab his thoughts on why he made those comments about CM Punk following Punk's fight.
